It’s here – 2012, the long-awaited fateful year. Doom mongers love it. They say the world is coming to an end! They say the Mayans said so, but they didn’t. In fact, the Mayan elders of today have said very little about what the ancients said about this year. Life will go on well past 2012. However these are significant times. And yes, there are a lot of significant times, many that have past, and many to come. Even so, it doesn’t mean you should ignore what’s happening here and now.

You don’t need to be Nostradamus to see that things are changing: the exponential increase in the population, possible food and water shortages, changes in the financial system and banking, housing, travel, and just about every material aspect of life. The Wheels of Great of Time are turning and with another click of the cogs, we’re moving into a new era. It may take another Venus cycle (8 years) for us to really know what it all means. It’ll be 2020 by then, and yes, we’ll have pretty perfect vision at that point, able to see where we’ve come from and where we’re going to, a very positive point in time.

That’s not all from Venus in 2012. The second transit of Venus over the sun (the first was in 2004) coinciding with the lunar eclipse is happening in June. A big astronomical event, as it won’t happen for another 243 years. What does it mean? The simple message of Venus in the heart of the sun is ‘Love is all we need’. It’s a huge symbol with a plain, but profound message.

And just as much as the Venus cycle marks time, so is the journey of Pluto through Capricorn, along with the several squares between Pluto and Uranus over the next few years. It all speaks of ‘big shift’, ‘revolutionary change’, ‘stark transformation’. There are many cycles and cogs clicking into place all at once, which is why the Mayans knew this was a significant point in time, a launch into a new era.

It’s clear times are shifting and something has to change with the way we live. The way forward is recycling, renewing, re-everything, that’s quite a refreshing prospect already, no? Where do all those clothes from Primark end up?? Time to re-use, reclaim, recover, and review our ways, remember our basic values.

Above all, the stars in 2012 are asking you to make love your first priority. How do you do that? Refuse to listen to the voice of fear! Yes, we’re in the midst of change. Aren’t we always? And there is a choice: we either are lead by our fears and doubt that everything will be ok and allow ourselves to slide into either doom or fantasy, or we follow the alternative - love. It’s a firm belief that we’re heading into a new era, a world of love and faith, safety and security for all. It won’t happen overnight, and it will take a lot of awareness and action, and we can do it.
