Welcome to Patty Greenall's Horoscope page. It's probably not a surprise that I've had an increase in the number of people contacting me for career advice, given the economic climate. Astrologers recognise cycles and change. There are ups and there are downs, and life goes on. Over the past several years with Pluto in Sagittarius, we've learned some lessons about belief. Many of us have been living with a false sense of security, putting our faith in cars, clothes and cash, to make ourselves feel good, instead of looking inside for the incredible treasures within. Okay, so it sounds a little fanciful, but don't knock it before you know it! And now, Pluto, the planet of transformation, has moved into Capricorn, forcing us all to change the status quo, our state of existence. You've got plenty of time to get with the program and adjust to the changes. It'll be about 14 years before Pluto touches down in the next sign, Aquarius. So here's my forecast for what will slowly but surely take place. If you've been credit-crunched, don't despair because the businesses that are most likely to prosper are those connected to recycling, renewing, renovation, rejuvenation, re-everything and anything. We're in a state of adjustment. The world has seen a huge expansion while Pluto was in Sagittarius, particularly the communication super-highways - internet, mobile phones, and we're bursting at the seams with junk. It not only makes practical sense to start re-using, but it makes perfect astrological sense to do so, too. And what about our faith? That'll be restored, too, but this time in a more balanced, longer-lasting way. It'll be at the end of the year 2020 when our vision will be back to balance, that's the next time Jupiter, planet of spirituality, and Saturn, planet of materiality, conjoin.

Aries

It's ever so important for you to stand up to yourself now. There's a big part of you that would choose Easy Street, and who can blame you? The only problem is that it lacks choice. It's like the difference between a bustling High Street with a quiet park where you can have your lunch, and a barren ghost town. Obstacles can become opportunities.

Taurus

Big dreams could easily end up as pies in the sky, if you don't make a bigger effort to reach for them in 2009. Change is a big deal for you, but it happens all the time, so why should it be? An opportunity to change your mind around the Spring Equinox will set you on the right path towards achieving even bigger dreams and aspirations.

Gemini

Big business, borrowing and investment has never looked so good for you. I can't give you any financial advice, but as a Gemini, you probably have a knack for spotting a good opportunity, and there are plenty about. This year could make you seriously rich or, if you're not following your heart, seriously in need of a financial makeover. You choose.

Cancer

If you remember one thing throughout this year, remember this: relationships are not only defined by how well you get along, but also how smoothly you get yourselves through the rough patches. We're talking about business partnerships as well as love relationships. And it's true that other people are like mirrors. Can you see yourself?

Leo

You'd prefer to be in charge of the show, or if someone else is the boss, you're quite happy just being centre stage. It may feel as if life is happening to you instead of at your command as routines and order take new shapes, but make no mistake, it couldn't happen without you. You are still the star! Just remember that 'surrender' is not a dirty word.

Virgo

Some people never give their best effort because they're afraid of failure. That's nothing new. Bruce Springsteen said in one of his songs that 'fear's a powerful thing'. They're only words though until you can really feel what it means and realise the ways in which worries can run the show. When your heart's in charge, there's no such thing as failure.

Libra

Something has to happen in connection to your home. You've been putting it off for far too long. The trouble is that the longer this delaying process goes on, the louder that still small voice becomes, in fact, so much so that it'll be anything but still and small. You don't have to make sudden great leaps this year, just a start, and then keep going.

Scorpio

Isn't it amazing the tricks a mind can play? When the going is rough at work, your attitude is not exactly bright and breezy, and when it's all right and the money's coming in, you feel on top of the world. A deeper awareness of the games that your own mind can play will open a whole new door to life and love over this year.

Sagittarius

People are relying on you, maybe for money, or perhaps for a different kind of support. Either way, you've set a pace and in a way, you're obligated to keep it up. You can go ahead and rest on your laurels, but would you really want to lose the distance gained so far? Your role is to show - by example - how it's done, living life to the full. .

Capricorn

Everything seems to be changing, not a great state of being for someone who likes structure and dependability. But you've never been afraid of change.. You're the one who often instigates change. Living with the unknown is not a comfortable prospect, but gradually as each day unfolds, you're realising that life is on your side. Faith is a good thing.

Aquarius

You're growing impatient. You're nearly at your tether's end waiting for something to happen, for a dream to become real or your ship to come in. You could easily make a rash move and blow it all, but that would be silly. Look beneath the surface, and you'll see a whole treasure trove. It has been there the whole time, and it's yours to keep.

Pisces

Some people will have you believe that there's something wrong with having desires and wishes - you're human! So don't hold yourself back. Greed is another subject altogether, and we'll presume for now that it isn't part of the picture. You've had a few good years' worth of challenges, so now you're established, stake a claim! Make a wish.
